Will's Birthday

He's two.  He's two!  I just love it and I just cannot believe it all at the same time.  He had a fabulous birthday.  Chad and I went to get him out of bed in the morning and sang him Happy Birthday for the first of what would be too many times to count.  We talked to him about how it was his birthday and he had some sort of the clue that the day was about him.

We asked what he wanted for breakfast and he asked for pizza and Flavor Ice.  I am a big believer in having whatever you want for your birthday and Will seemed to agree with this plan.  We put a candle in the pizza to have him practice blowing it out.  He loved it!  We would sing, he would blow out the candle, and then say "again!" or "more candles!"  And so we would do it again...over and over.

We had to then get ready for his party!  We had his party at the Flight Museum.  Here are the invites that our photographer made for us.  I just love these pictures of Will - she captured him so well!

We had a great turnout at the party - almost 60 people came - 26 of them being kiddos.  Will was in heaven running around with his friends.  He and Armando were somewhat inseparable.

Will loved this huge lolipop from Gwen

Check out his reaction to his cake!

After the party, our family came over for brunch and Will enjoyed some of his new presents.  He got so many great gifts from friends and family - I think he will be busy playing with them for the next year!  He really loves his new pirate water table and his sandbox.  We will be spending lots of time outside playing with these this summer!

Will even got some mail from the Royal Post on his actual birthday.  Ian and Mary, my parents best friends, have the best timing!

We ended the birthday by joining our favorite neighbors for dinner at Chick-Fil-A.  In true birthday form, Will had a strawberry milkshake for dinner along with 2 chicken nuggets.  He was so exhausted not even all the sugar from the day could keep him for a good nights rest.

Sunday morning we watched Will play on the monitor in the morning for 45 minutes before we went to get him.  He was singing the Happy Birthday song to himself over and over.  It was adorable and a memory I will not soon forget.

What a perfect birthday!  I wish we could do it all over again!
