DinoWill

This is probably the first blog post where you will see Chad and me in multiple pictures with Will.  This never happens!

Well, yesterday was the perfect day with perfect weather.  We went to the pumpkin patch and Will wore his costume and didn't even try to take it off.  All the stars were aligned...and then I realized I forgot my memory card for my camera.  For someone like me, this is the ultimate in disappointment.  Luckily, my friend Emily and her fairy princess daughter Caroline joined us here.  Emily was much more together and brought her camera and memory card and we got some cute pictures!

These pumpkins and wagon together weighed over 25lbs because Will could not get it to budge!

Rainy Saturday

Will wears his wellies (he calls them "boots") rain or shine.  He loves to put them on and he often wears them for walks in the neighborhood on nice days.

However, this Saturday it rained in buckets.  We had tons of rain in a short period of time which was just perfect in Will's mind as it made for great puddles.  He loves wearing his wellies and splashing water everywhere.

Safety First

We got Will a helmet this week to go with his new bike!  They are both a huge hit, but I would have to say the helmet might be his favorite.  He wore it on his walk this morning, and then came back from the park and had to put it on immediately.

One thing Will loves as much as his helmet is his Uncle Chuck.  He thinks he is hysterical!

Loving the Cozy Coupe

Will is like a moth to the flame with the Cozy Coupe.  Many of our neighbors have them (luckily), and many of them keep them out front.  When Will sees them, he says "car" repeatedly while pointed to the beloved cozy coupe.  He *has* to sit in every one he sees.  He is just so happy once he gets inside.

4 Pumpkins

Check out these 4 pumpkins!  Being a Halloween baby, I cannot get enough of the pumpkins so today we hit another pumpkin patch.  This one wasn't as fun for Will until he realized that there was a street full of trucks.  Therefore, in all of the pictures he is looking at Northwest Highway during rush hour and enjoying all the trucks that are going by.  In every picture you can see him turning his head so he can watch for trucks.  He is so fascinated by them...big or small.  He loves them all.

And I just love him...especially in his first pair of boots!

We stopped at the park on the way home and Will climbed up a jungle gym meant for 5-12 year olds. He was all smiles...

My Pumpkin in the Pumpkin Patch

I took Will to an awesome pumpkin patch.  It was awesome because it had wagons and a playground in addition to the pumpkins.  Will enjoyed riding on the pumpkins like they were a pony, picking up pumpkins and putting them in the wagon, then taking them out, then adding more in.  However when he spotted the playground, the time the pumpkins came to a quick end...

Yoda he is.

Check out baby Yoda!  I think he looks like a baby in this picture.  Maybe that is why we love it so much!

This is Chad's pick for one of Will's Halloween costumes.  It is so much cuter than I imagined it when I ordered it.  It has a matching robe to go with it as well, but for now we are just working on having him keep the head piece on since he doesn't always enjoy wearing hats.  However, when he looks in the mirror with his Yoda hat on, he smiles.  He knows Yoda - thanks to a cute stuffed Yoda from Aunt Jenny and Uncle GA and from the Star Wars books Chad reads to Will at night.

If Chad has it his way, this is the first of many Star Wars costumes to come.  May the force be with me!

Long my ears are.

See you later I will.

Will's Weekend with the Kerrs and Blanchards

This weekend, Chad and I went to Skaneateles, NY for an amazing wedding.  Chad's cousin Jessica got married in a little brown chapel by the lake and it was just perfect!  We had the best time there while Will was having the best time in Dallas with Lovey, Granddad, Aunt Leen and Uncle Chuck.

They spent lots of time at the "Bee" Park (as Will affectionately calls it) as well as made visits to other parks, Tom Thumb (where they have the carts with the cars - a big hit!), Campisis, Central Market, and visits to see Kitty, Aunt Leen's cat.  They had a blast.

Will and my parents picked us up at the airport, but the best part for me was when we got home and Will ran to me with a huge smile saying "mama mama" and wanted me to hold him.  It's moments like these that I will always treasure.
